A reference letter from COBSE on the above subject states that the National Level Talent Search Examination Chhatra Vigyan Manthan (W) will be conducted by Vigyan Prasar Sansthan, a joint venture of the Department of Science and Technology, NCERT Education Department and Vigyan Bharti, Govt. . India. VM is India's biggest science talent hunt. v Provides a platform to create interest in science, develop imagination as well as follow excellence of students. This competition is for the students of class 6 to 11.
Student Vigyan Manthan 2021-22 is a digital application based. Which will be taken online. For this, students have to register online. Registration can be done from 07/08/2021 to 31/10/2021, most will start from 1/11/2021. The said exam can be given on 30 November 2021 or 5 December 2021 (login one day). Registered students will have to take the test from their mobile phone, tablet, laptop or desktop computer of the school. The purpose of the above examination is to develop scientific and analytical thinking in the students.

Online Open-Book Science Talent Search Examination I am writing to bring to your notice that Vigyan Prasar, an autonomous organization under the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, in association with National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT). Ministry of Human Resource Development and Vigyan Bharati (a non-profit organization led by eminent scientist) are successfully conducting National Level Talent Search Examination named Vidyarthi Vigyan Manthan (VVM) in last five years. This is India's biggest science talent hunt for New India. It conducted the examination through online open-book system during the year 2020-21 due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Again this year, the exam will be conducted online through open-book to be done using digital tools.
Dr. Arvind C. Ranade, Scientist F, Vigyan Prasar has requested COBSE to request all State Boards to participate in VVM in the upcoming academic year 2021-22. A copy of the letter received from Vigyan Prasar on the objectives of Vidyarthi Vigyan Manthan (VVM) along with detailed procedures for the candidates and conduct of online examination is enclosed herewith.

It is pertinent to mention here that Vidyarthi Vigyan Manthan is a unique digital application based talent search test which is conducted online at national level. Registered students will be allowed to take the exam from their school or a designated center through their own device, i.e. smart phone (mobile), laptop, desktop (school lab) or tablet. The test will not be conducted on any Apple device. School level exams can be answered on any one of the specified dates (whether on working day or non-working day) as chosen by the school examination coordinator.
